  • Juice of one small lime, rind reserved
  • 2ounces rye or bourbon
  • 1teaspoon orange Curaçao or Cointreau
  • Seltzer or club soda, chilled

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Stir the lime juice, rye or bourbon and orange Curaçao or Cointreau in an 8-ounce glass with 2 ice cubes. If you like, drop in the rind of half a lime. Top off with soda, stir gently and serve with a straw trimmed to extend over lip of glass by 2 inches or so, if necessary.

This is really that good. Tart, refreshing, and boozy, it is easy to make because no simple syrup is needed. I'm not sure why they say 2 cubes of ice, I needed 4 to get it cold, but I suppose you could chill the glass. Again, it is so easy! I didn't have plain seltzer but the pomegranate that I did have was delicious with the lime.

Yes, it is that good. Tart, refreshing, yet boozy. Easy to make because no simple syrup needed… the cointreau added nice flavor. Not sure how they decided on two cubes, I needed 4 but I guess you could chill the glass. I will definitely be making this drink again.
