Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Fill a highball glass with ice. Add simple syrup, gin and lemon juice, then top with ginger beer. Stir gently. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Yes, but it won't taste as good. Ginger ale typically doesn't have the bite that ginger beer does.

In the spirit of NYT cooking (saying great, but adding changes) No simple Lime instead of Lemon Fever Tree Ginger Beer only Inexpensive (New Amsterdam) Gin

We make this with Vernor's Ginger Ale and lime juice. We call it a Ver-Gin
