Substituted orange for grapefruit juice and turned out just as good as the original. I worried it would be too sweet, but the ginger manages to balance the citrus nicely.
I was skeptical at first however the steps are worth the end result. I used blood orange! This will be a regular summer drink while waiting for the grill to heat up. Cheers!
Very good using grapefruit juice and grapefruit bitters for orange, and 2 oz gin. Ginger was not super noticeable -- maybe use a medium to large piece if you like ginger. Size of a thick quarter coin or even larger.
