Arugula may seem like a strange ingredient for a smoothie, but this combination is a real winner, a great lunchtime smoothie.

I really like this - it has a nice tart/sweet flavor. If I use an organic pear I do not bother peeling and sometimes I use an apple instead if that is what I have. Do not skip the ginger. I keep some peeled and sliced in the freezer so it is easy to throw in. I have also been known to use half and half if I don't have yogurt, but it is not as tart when I do this.

Excellent! I just made exactly per the recipe for the first time (yes, using a scale, which I like to do first time around anytime I try a new recipe), except no ice cubes. For oranges that was 2 and a half for me, and most of one pear which had seen better days:) The arugula taste comes though but muted, which I like because I am not a huge fan of arugula (using Trader Joe's baby arugula, more mature may be more pronounced), and it does not taste overly sweet, just fresh and virtuous:)

Love this smoothie. I never would have thought to put arugula in a smoothie, but it works! No extra sweetener necessary. The only thing is that it’s a bit thin, so maybe I’d add more yogurt next time to thicken it up.

Holy smokes that's delicious! I had to find a way to get greens into my diet regularly that I didn't feel the need to drown in a fattening sauce or butter. I was dubious but gave it a try. On the ginger, I'm not a huge fan of it, so I started small and added to taste. About 2 grams was perfect. I was actually surprised by how much flavor the walnuts added. Don't skip!

It was a little too tart for me and my toddler. I added some fresh dates and a little honey to sweeten it up enough for us to enjoy.
