Elderflower Martini

Ingredients
Yield:Serves 1
- 1strip lemon zest
- 1strip lime zest
- 3ounces Aquavit New York White Cranberry (go to www.aquavitnewyork.com for purchasing information) or plain aquavit
- 2ounces dry vermouth
- ½ounce elderflower cordial
- Pinch of salt
Preparation
- Step 1
Put the zest in the bottom of a large martini glass. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the remaining ingredients. Shake and strain into the glass.

This is a pretty substantial drink. I scaled everything back by about a third and that was perfect.

How big of a martini glass are you using? That is a lot of liquid especially when you add dilution. Plus you're starting off with 5.5oz of alcohol. I know the dry vermouth and elderflower are lower proof, but that's still a gigantic drink.

Made with regular aquavit, 1 oz of Lillet Blanc, 1 oz of dry vermouth and 1/2 oz of St. Germain. So delicious! Might try substituting Lillet Blanc for all the dry vermouth next time.
