Another high-anthocyanin red smoothie, this one also delivers the benefits of red cabbage, a cruciferous vegetable high in antioxidant-rich sulfur compounds, and almonds, a very good source of manganese and vitamin E.

I was a little skeptical about putting cabbage in a smoothie, but this is surprisingly delicious! Instead of almonds and ice cubes, I used about a third of a cup of almond milk.

If you add dairy to the berries, it cancels out the antioxidant benefit of the berries.

I followed the tip to use almond milk since I always have it on hand for smoothie making and didn't want it to just sit. Used 1/3 cup. This was so good!! My day will now be amazing.

This is so yummy. I boost with a scoop of unflavoured protein powder.

This was quite good, and even my kids loved it! Perhaps I drink a lot of smoothie, but I wouldn't say this made a "generous" portion. Next time, I would double it. It also needed a bit more orange juice. All and all, fantastic!
