Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Soak beans in water to cover overnight.

  2. Step 2

    Drain, add fresh water to cover. Add seaweed, simmer for about 1½ hours or until beans are tender.

Tip
  • Serve plain or, just before serving, stir in juice from roast chicken. Kombu seaweed is available packaged in health-food stores.
