Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Crumble blue cheese into a bowl, and mash lightly with a fork.

  2. Step 2

    Add mayonnaise, sour cream and pepper. Blend well with fork, breaking up chunks of blue cheese. Stir in chives. Cover. Refrigerate.

Add Worcestershire and lemon juice.

Lemon and Worcester Sauce are great additions. Thanks everyone for those tips. I cut down on the mayo and did 1/4 greek yogurt and 1/4 mayo with the 1/2 sour cream. I did not have buttermilk but used half and half. Also, swapped out garlic salt for the salt.

Really easy, rich, and delicious. I’ve had so many bad blue cheese dressings over the years I’d forgotten I liked it. This recipe reminded me that I do, very much, when made right.
