Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Generously butter 2 baking sheets. Overlap the potato slices in single rows. Stir the spices and onion into the remaining butter and drizzle it over the potatoes. Sprinkle with salt and bake until the potatoes are golden, about 45 minutes. Serve.

tried this recipe for the first time this afternoon. I sliced the potatoes 1/8" on a first-class mandoline, baked to potatoes on a middle rack, and checked them after 25 minutes for doneness; they were already charcoal and had to be discarded. I'll post again after making some sorely needed amendments!

Yum!! Sweet onion, chili and potatoes .... what could be better! Great recipe... appreciate that you can control the butter or use substitute to make this vegan.
