Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Mash blue cheese and mayonnaise together until smooth. Add more mayonnaise if necessary. Mix in hot sauce and lemon juice.

  2. Step 2

    Store in refrigerator until ready to use. Spread will keep up to two days.

It's a great condiment... I used Tobasco as the hot sauce, and next time I will use less than the 2tbsp called for. If you like it spicy, keep the 2. I used it on sliced hot chicken sausages. I also tore up a rotisserie chicken and dipped it into the spread.

This is so quick and easy to make, and very good with carrots and celery—not so good with sugar snaps or snow peas. Not sure whether it needs the hot sauce at all. Next time I will try it without.

This was a hit at an Easter dinner party I attended recently. I also did not add the full amount of hot sauce called for, but I was surprised at how much I could add before the dip became too hot for my taste. I used this on top of a burger the other night and it was delicious!

Very tasty. I followed the suggestion to use less hot sauce, and was glad I did.
