This simple four-ingredient cocktail is made by muddling a handful of fresh, sweet cherries, lime and simple syrup and topping it with a few splashes of rum. It's a perfect midsummer's night cocktail. If you don't have cherries on hand, strawberries or blueberries work too. —Robert Willey

A good balance of sweet and not, very refreshing. It's also good with gin or dark rum and topped off with club soda if you'd like something to sip in larger quantities.

To be authentic use Cachaca (Brazilian rum). Delish.

This was wonderful as is but we also tried making it with strawberries and then pomegranate with equally delicious results. All 3 were very refreshing, with a nice balance of flavors and not overly sweet. We highly recommend this recipe.

definitely use Cachaza - it is delicious!

Good customizable cocktail! Made this at a party, swapped out the white rum for dark rum and it was really good. Also tried it with mezcal and gin (not at the same time) and it was really nice as well, I actually preferred it with gin!

These were great! Used Melissa Clark’s Maraschino Cherries, and added some club soda. Will definitely make again!
