Ingredients

Yield:1⅓ cups
  • 8leafy stems cilantro
  • 1medium green bell pepper
  • 1clove garlic, crushed
  • 1medium onion, coarsely chopped
  • ¼pound aji dulce, halved with inner seeds removed (see note)
  • 6whole leaves recao, chopped (see note)
  • 1tablespoon vegetable or olive oil

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Combine all ingredients in a food processor and puree until smooth.

Tip
  • Aji dulce are small, sweet chili peppers. Recao is a green herb with a long oval leaf. Both may be found in bodegas and Asian markets.
