  • 1tablespoon bacon drippings or vegetable oil
  • ½cup apple juice
  • 2tablespoons wine vinegar
  • ¼cup lemon juice
  • ¼cup molasses
  • 1cup chili sauce
  • 1teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1teaspoon French-style mustard
  • ¼cup ketchup

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Saute the onions in the drippings or oil until brown. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Use to baste meats or chicken during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
