Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Combine ingredients in a small pot. Cook over medium heat for a few minutes, stirring to dissolve sugar and salt. Set aside to cool.

  2. Step 2

    For the best result, pour into a bottle or jar that has been sterilized (boil it and its cap or lid for 10 minutes). Syrup will hold in the refrigerator for about a month.

Exactly as described, the best grenadine you have ever tasted. Super easy.

A few drops of orange flower water and rose water into the mixture makes it even more delicious and complex.

I made this, doubled the amounts but like my grenadine much more syrupy so cooked it down. Totally forgot to decrease the salt and managed to intensify the salt taste. Next time I’ll do all same but cut salt in half. I tend to freeze some for future use. Great ice cubes for lemonade also.
