Ingredients
Yield:1 serving
- 1fresh Idaho trout, boned and butterflied
- 1tablespoon unsalted butter, melted, or vegetable oil spray
- Salt and pepper
Preparation
- Step 1
Preheat grill or broiler until very hot. Brush both sides of trout with butter, or spray with oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Step 2
Grill or broil fish with the flesh close to the source of heat until it is opaque, flaky and beginning to brown, 2 to 4 minutes. Do not overcook. Top fish with sauce of choice, and serve immediately.

Enjoyed the easiness of this recipe--especially since I don't have a grill. I used a fish seasoning on hand and squeezed lemon at the table. At this time of my life, I want ease with flavor.
