  • 4ounces chilled pineapple juice
  • Splash of soda water
  • Nutmeg
  • Pineapple chunk, for garnish

  1. Step 1

    Fill a highball glass with ice and add rum, pineapple juice and soda. Grate a little nutmeg on top and garnish with a chunk of pineapple.

Not to sound wimpy, but this makes one VERY strong drink!!! Ended up splitting between 2 glasses of ice, much better.

Sailor Jerry's rum + Pineapple Juice. Essentially the same thing.

Avast there, matey! If you can’t handle the ration, maybe it’s rum you shouldn’t be drinking! Or better… pass that second flagon over to a thirsty old salt…like myself! Open the hatches! The drinking lamp is lit. But, I agree, it’s a fine tasting sneaker! Even one glass at a time! Take it from Caitlin. You've been warned.

Nice and refreshing as-is, but I added a couple dashes of spicy bitters and lime instead of pineapple and I enjoyed it even more

Here on Long Island, we enjoy this drink and call it a Suburban
