  • 1egg yolk
  • 2teaspoons no-salt mustard
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 1tablespoon red-wine vinegar
  • ¼teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1cup corn, peanut or vegetable oil
  • ¼cup finely minced onion
  • 2tablespoons finely chopped parsley
  • 2tablespoons finely chopped bottled no-salt sweet peppers
  • 1tablespoon finely chopped bottled no-salt hot cherry peppers
  • 1tablespoon finely chopped fresh basil
  • 1hard-cooked egg, put through fine sieve

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Put yolk in mixing bowl and add mustard, pepper, vinegar and Tabasco. Start beating briskly while adding oil. Beat briskly until all oil is added.

  2. Step 2

    Add remaining ingredients and blend well.
