what happened to the steps *after* step 1?

This turned out really well, although there were no raisins to be found in the house, so we cut up and used dried pears and dried apricots.

I made this and did preserved in water bath; took suggestions and added a few things: 2 apples chopped, a couple of peaches and a few figs--all from garden--next time would add a cinnamon stick and a couple of cardamom pods for a bit more spice. Made 6 8 oz jars with a little leftover that we had with lunch today. Took longer than 30 minutes to cook down. Pretty in the jars--Christmas presents.

I used medjool dates instead of raisins, which meant I used slightly less brown sugar since the dates are so intensely sweet. And I didn't have any apple cider vinegar on hand (shock horror!) so I used malt vinegar instead and crossed my fingers... it was excellent! The only steps after Step 1 are to adjust it to your own taste buds and dig in! We love this on a cheese board and also on the side of various curry dishes.

Loved this! Added an apple and some Aleppo pepper, halved the sugar. Big hit.

Delicious. Used candied ginger as I did not have fresh. However, wish liquid would have thickened more (even after following suggestion to strain and boil down liquid).
