One of the pleasures of waffle-making is, and always has been, the limitless flavors with which the waffles may be made and served: a blend of flours (such as whole-wheat and regular flour), cornmeal, various cheeses, nuts (such as pecans or hazelnuts), and so on.

My kids loved it, but only after I added in a half cup of sugar some blueberries and cherries. Those touches made the recipe perfect; otherwise it was bland.

Added some spices ...cinnamon etc..and a little white sugar. Used gluten free flour. Great recipe!

These are a some very yummy waffles. I subbed in walnuts for pecans and made half a batch so I only got 3 waffles, but I will likely make these again!
